The dirty job that someone has to do (Artigo em português segue abaixo)

British government announced in recent months a series of cuts in public spending in different areas of administration. The finance minister George Osborne reiterated the government's goal of the Conservative Party in drastically reducing the country's public deficit, now around US$ 240 billion.
Critics argue that government action is purely ideological. The opposition accuses the Conservatives of trying to reduce the size of the English state, by reducing the area taken by the government.
In fact, the cuts promise drastic consequences for the public service with the projected loss of 490,000 jobs in public service by 2015. In addition to widespread unemployment, the poorest also await a dismal horizon, as the beneficiaries of social programs in Britain will be responsible for menial jobs for the government. The activity list includes tasks such as garbage removal and street cleaning for a fee of one pound per hour. The measures have affected negatively, since the poor and the unemployed will suffer.Undoubtedly, the priority of an administration should be social welfare, so that public services are of excellent quality and welfare benefits act as a means to ensure equal opportunities to all rising. However, the problem is much more complex to be analyzed only by budget cuts.Whether through ideology, has accused the opposition in parliament, the cost reduction made by the Conservatives, including payroll, is essential for the country's economic recovery. The criticisms are unfounded, however, members of the Labour party should assess the attitudes of the party that ruled England for 13 years. The administrations of Tony Blair and Gordon Brown, from Labour Party, deserve to be blamed for the lack of administration of public accounts in Britain.Blair, overly loyal to former U.S. president, George W. Bush, put the country into an unnecessary military conflict, the war in Iraq. The result was the loss of British lives and the increase in military investments. The Conservatives have announced that the defense will lose 8% of the budget for the next fiscal year.Brown also didn't had the renewing energy to transform the economy and politics.Spearheading the last Labour administration, Brown tried to privatize the postal service, a process that has generated enough controversy and showed that not only the members of the Conservative Party who believe in private enterprise.Indeed, the outcasts of society can't cope alone with the account of bad government in the land of the queen. But cutting spending and reducing the swelling of the machine are fundamental actions for the stabilization of a nation. The Labor should seek to mitigate impacts on the poor and focus on presenting the government with a new policy for inclusion in the labor market for the unemployed.Amid all this controversy, one point pleased everyone: health sistem will receive two billion dollars next year for social care, and education resources to be fully maintained, since this is the main area for the development of a free society.
Admittedly, the effects of this new measures need to be smoothed. But it is understood the mentality of the english people to seek change. Tired of the apathy employed by Labour, the Conservatives at the ballot box growth was predictable, as they promised radical action against the economy's problems. The Blair's bad choices and Brown's inertia left a confused legacy to Prime Minister David Cameron. To get the problems resolved, England need to sacrifice, but also need to protect the population. In the english case, two words are key to the solution: commitment and dialogue.
